How to Rake a Bunker
As demonstrated by Course Manager Tony Dunstan
Lob Shot by PGA Pro Terry Moncur
- Keep your weight 60/40 on your front heel at address and through impact.
- This will allow you to improve your strike down on the ball
- Then let the loft of the club do the work
Short Putting by PGA Pro Terry Moncur
When making the putting stroke, try to keep the gap between the hands and your core constant and work on keeping your eye line on a fixed point just behind the ball through to the end. This will guarantee better strike consistency
Chipping by PGA Pro Terry Moncur
When making a chip shot, bring your right foot in and narrow your stance. Get your ball position a bit more over the right eye and then you can use the bounce of the club a little better as you come through to play the shot.
Pitching by PGA Pro Terry Moncur
For a smoother pitch shot, try and not to over use the hands. Try to feel you have softer hands and let your body do the work.
Bunker play by PGA Pro Terry Moncur
On the back swing, hinge the wrists sharply and make sure you shift your weight as you play through the shot and be nice and positive.
